Utility Installation

No provincial trade licence required

Underground and overhead utility work — water, sewer, gas distribution, telecom, and powerline — is non-compulsory broadly, but powerline (434A) is its own certified trade and utility-owner qualification systems gate the work.

The licensing layer, explained

Utility installation spans water/sewer, gas distribution, telecom, and electrical distribution. Powerline Technician (434A) is a distinct trade tied to utility employers. Work is gated by utility-owner contractor qualification, Ontario One Call locates, and the relevant trade tickets. Gas distribution falls under TSSA.
