Drywall & Plastering at a glance
Learn it. Earn it. Own it. Pick the door that matches where you are.
Drywall, Acoustic & Lathing Applicator (451A) and Drywall Finisher & Plasterer (453A) are voluntary trades. No provincial licence is required to start. You need a municipal business licence, WSIB, insurance, and silica/dust controls. Fire-rated assemblies require correct UL/ULC assembly compliance.
Lower-risk than structural trades, but dust/silica and working in occupied buildings still apply. $2M CGL is the typical minimum.
