Trade Playbooks

Every Certificate of Qualification code in Ontario

Apprentices search the code itself. Here are all 39 of them: the 32 numeric Skilled Trades Ontario codes and the 7 other tickets that gate construction work in this province, each one pointing at the trade it belongs to and, where we have written it, the guide to closing out your hours and passing the exam.

The other tickets that gate the work

Not everything that stops you starting a job is a Skilled Trades Ontario code. These are the certifications, licences and industry tickets the trade playbooks name alongside the C of Q.

Certified is not the same as voluntary

A compulsory trade is one where the work itself is restricted: you hold the certificate, or you are a registered apprentice working under someone who does, or you are not allowed to do it. A voluntary trade has no such restriction, and the certificate is still the thing a general contractor asks for before they let you on the site and the thing an insurer looks at when they price your policy.

The ticket gets you on site. The paperwork keeps you there.

Once the certificate is yours, the next wall is incorporation, WSIB clearance, insurance certificates and getting paid on time. AEC Stack handles all of it.
