The credential, explained

To deliver official EnerGuide ratings you must be an NRCan-registered Energy Advisor, working through an NRCan-licensed Service Organization (SO). Registration requires roughly two years of energy-efficiency and building-science knowledge, the Foundation Level and Energy Advisor exams, and a probationary file period. You can register as an individual or as an incorporated business — which is what makes this a real standalone opportunity, not just a job.
